Early Allocation of Projects

Students who intend to take EEE 499 in the following semester are encouraged to select a project title from the project allocation page in the previous semester when early allocations are open (usually end of week 3). This will be on a "first come first served" basis and the list of project titles will be open for the rest of the semester.

The aim of early allocation of graduation projects is to give the student more time to work on a project and so increase his/her chance of success. When a student considers taking an early allocation he/she should be willing to work on the project for an average of at least 2 hours per week during the semester and report periodically to the supervisor.

After being allocated a project the student may not change to another project and must take that project when he/she registers for EEE 499 (with the exception of special cirumstances and with the permission of the supervisor and the department head). Work on a graduation project is not assessed until the end of the EEE 499 course.
