Mid-Term Presentation

(5% of the overall project evaluation)

A mid-term presentation is given by each project student around week 10 of the semester.
This is an opportunity for the student to present the status of the work and gain presentation experience. The student should present the aim of the project, all results from a literature search, any progress already made, and an outline of what work will be carried out in the future.

Assessors should use this opportunity to provide the student with advice on the project and on the student's presentation technique. In particular:

  • Assessors: please take time during the presentations to point out to the speakers how they can improve their presentation and any advice you have about the project.
  • Chairperson: at the end of each presentation please give some time to discuss the above point.
  • Supervisors: please remind the students after the presentation session about how they can improve the presentation and project work.

Note that the final presentation will represent 30% of the overall evaluation and so its important to get your presentation technique right!

Please read the presentation guide.
